AdColor Awards 2009

I recently had the honor of attending the AdColor Awards show at the Arizona Bilmore Resort & Spa. Amy Spitzer, Marc Patlan, Adrian Moreno and I, who are part of the rAD Club at the Art Institute of Phoenix were invited to sit at one of the tables at the ceremony. It was an experience I could never forget. There we were, graphic design rookies in a room full of well-respected, high-profile professional advertising agencies. We were excited, humbled, and inspired.

CNN's Soledad O'brien hosted the evening event, accompanied by industry leaders such as The One Club, Google, and the Omnicom Group. The awards were handed out to leaders in the community to "celebrate the accomplishments of outstanding diverse advertising, marketing, media and PR professionals of color." The highest honor, the All Star Award, was presented to Cristina Saralegui, from The Cristina Shot, Univision.

The evening continued on at the after-party, mingling and meeting some really great people. Special thanks to the good people at JWT in New York for inviting us.
