Coming out of school you're not expecting to use math other than addition and subtraction. But the teachers were right, you need math for everything, even art. I had to do some calculations for a fragrance gift set for one of our clients and X and Y became my best friends. I needed to know how far the bottle sits in the PVC tray, how far from the bottom, how far from the top, the circumference of the bottle, the distance between the bottle and the lid, etc, etc. It was pretty intense, but when you love what you do, it makes even doing math fun.
